Teena Gill has been writing for various newspapers, magazines and wire services since 1990.
She started working as a development journalist in New Delhi with Business India magazine and The Pioneer.

In 1995 she started writing features on Southeast Asia for Inter Press Service (IPS), a leading
news agency covering development issues, from Bangkok and later Chiang Mai, where she was based.

She also wrote for Panos Features and India Abroad News Service (IANS), amongst others.
